Terra Bidlespacher

Not For Zombie Consumption
_ Terra Bidlespacher (pronounced Buy-Dell-Spock-Er)
is an award winning published artist with pieces in collections all
over the world. Terra's fairies are often sweet and sour and feature
small budding or tattered wings, sometimes with lacings or piercings
with a more modernized feel. Her characters are often sweet but portray
a sarcastic and devious nature. (Sweet and Sour)

Why WhiteStagArt? I see no Stags... White Stag Art was initially chosen on whim when i was in need of a new website... In the beginning it was more relevant but for now it's going to stay. A lot of my ladies were antlered and the stag will forever be a dear symbol for me. Stag has been in a good chunk of my user names like (Dance of white stag) which is also a drawing I've done many many times and have never quite finished in my eyes. But I look to completing it in the future.
Medium of choice- Acrylics on illustration board. I used to do a lot of ink work but my hands cannot physically take it anymore.
Nitty Gritty I am 23 years old and a mother of one, Astel. I was raised in a small town in PA but moved to the city of Williamsport not too far away. I love animals and always seem to have an abundance of them.

The History.

For as long as I can remember I wanted to be an artist or a veterinarian and for a brief period... a Mad Scientist. But realistically I never imagined I could be an artist and I am a high school dropout (received my Diploma anyway and tested out) so vet and mad scientist were out of the picture. But social situations were never my thing. I find it hard to work surrounded by people with anxiety... a mainstream life just never clicked. After the birth of my daughter I decided I wanted to do better and do something and I listed my first pieces on Ebay. I was amazed they sold I never imagined ANYONE would want anything that came out of my head.
The art just clicked and it became easier to create and became self medicating. Creating some of the art that appeals to my manic sides I think keeps me in check. Sometimes when I'm painting I'm laughing hysterically in my head and it does sometimes come out audible. One of my most memorable paintings was "The I Heart Zombie Girl" I painted for valentines day. I was shaking I was so excited. I don't seem to get an artist block the only issue I seem to have is too many ideas an not enough time, so I have a steady stream of new paintings.
I often draw from the things surrounding me the smallest thing can spark inspiration and turn into something great. Looking at my daughter I see a sweet side and my characters ended up being a merge between her and myself.
I was never sports inclined and rarely participated in anything of merit. Since Childhood art was the only thing I thought I did right and I had some of the most amazing people influence me along the way. People either hated me because of the way I looked, dressed or acted and the others knew I was harmless and decided to motivate my creativity. Plus I had endless inspiration from friends/extended family. I'd like to say, Thank you.
Every thing here in galleries on the site are from about 2010 to current, but........
Below you can enjoy peek into the past with some of my elder works from long ago.
These works are all dated around the time I first started selling my work online and started actively promoting an internet presence. They are still some of my favorites. I miss the ink work so much, after a while I started mixing it with the acrylic as well which you can see with "Pet Rock and Emerelda's Cradle.". At this stage I was more on the fantasy line of things, mellow and nature inspired.
These are even older yet. From around 2000-2005 when I was still in school. I was really into comic books and had several little strips/stories and what not on the side..... and did a LOT of self portraits and just over all had fun flinging anything at a canvas and paper even soda. I used to be a texture person too. This stage in art was a little more dark and I find myself often returning.
